ABOUT US

The Metal Gutter Manufacturers Association was formed in 1994 to represent the leading UK manufacturers of metal gutters. Membership of MGMA is open to all companies who manufacture and market metal gutters, downpipes and their associated fittings in the United Kingdom. The Association seeks to foster and take part in research and all forms of technical development in relation to metal gutters and to encourage the best methods of their production and use with the construction and allied industries.

The MGMA has a number of key objectives:

  • To ensure that published standards in the UK and Europe relating to metal gutters are in accordance with the best practice used in the manufacture of metal gutters.

  • To encourage technical excellence amongst the member companies through educational and research programmes.

  • To represent the industry on both UK and European regulatory bodies.

NEW CODE OF PRACTICE FOR ROOF DRAINAGE SYSTEMS
NEW CODE OF PRACTICE FOR ROOF DRAINAGE SYSTEMS

The Metal Gutter Manufacturers Association (MGMA) has produced a Code of Practice covering the performance of roof drainage systems in metal.

The Code of Practice provides for roof drainage systems comprising gutters, rainwater down pipes and support systems manufactured in metal and for roof drainage systems using eaves, parapets, boundary walls and valley gutters.

In addition, the 12 page publication covers project parameters, design considerations, manufacture and site work; and outlines the testing of gutter joints and connections. All in all, an invaluable reference guide for specifiers of metal guttering systems.
